CNN.com Katherine Jackson awarded full custody of MJ's kids.

If you watch WETV's hit reality 'Bridezillas' you know that there's something not quite right about the women featured on the show. I mean a little wedding jitters and lunacy is one thing, but some of them are just down right rude, violent and disgusting in their behavior towards their family and friends. Call it real or not but Racine from Bridezillas could be facing charges for parole violation based on her role on the show. And I can't help but laugh because I saw the episodes where she was featured and she was extremely mean and nasty to her fiance's mother.

Story here and check out the video below:

Michael Jackson's "Moonwalk" Memoir Re-Release

Wednesday, July 29, 2009
As details of Michael Jackson’s untimely death unfolds as well as his family’s battle over his children and estate, the life of Michael Jackson and everything he offered to us will be immortalized through various tributes to him. And we here at XI want to make sure his memory continues to live on in a positive light amidst of all the negativity. Well, with all that being said comes news from the Associated Press that Michael Jackson’s 1988 autobiography, "Moonwalk," will be re-released this October. As some may see this as another opportunity for others to cash in on MJ’s death (Have you all seen the infomercials for commemorative wall hanging blankets with his picture on them?! *blank stare*), I see it as a very intimate look inside of who MJ really was: a gracious, sensitive, vulnerable, often tormented (by his past & the media), remarkably talented, extraordinary individual.

"Moonwalk" was initially released in 1988, one year after the release of his 7th album, Bad. The book was named after MJ’s most memorable signature dance move of the same name, which has become the most recognizable and well-known dance move around the world. In his autobiography, MJ discusses his show business friends, girlfriends, appearance over the years, his thoughts on plastic surgery, his upbringing, and his ultimate rise to fame. "Moonwalk" written by MJ himself with help from original editor, Shaye Areheart who worked closely with Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, was published in secret by Doubleday due to MJ’s overwhelming demand and public interest. Kennedy who also served as editor at Doubleday wrote the book’s introduction. After "Moonwalk’s" debut, it shot to #1 on the Los Angeles Times and New York Times best seller’s lists, and selling approximately 500,000 copies in 14 countries within only a few months of it’s release.

Ken Tucker, of The New York Times, stated that if the book had been written by anyone else, it would be dismissed as "an assiduously unrevealing, frequently tedious document." However, he adds that "these are precisely the qualities that make it fascinating." (via Wikipedia)

It seems plans for the reissue of MJ’s memoir came days after his death. As reported by the AP:

Within days, (MJ's literary agent) Joy Harris had forwarded the e-mails (from publishers) to Jackson's attorneys and soon the real discussions began. "Moonwalk," originally acquired by then-Doubleday editor Jackie Kennedy and published in 1988, will be reissued in October by Random House Inc. with a first printing of 100,000 copies and a new introduction from a Jackson friend who has not been identified. The book is also coming out in Germany, France and the United Kingdom.

Jackson's representatives wanted to act quickly. On July 23, executors of the singer's estate filed papers in a Los Angeles court stating that book deals should be reached "as soon as possible" in order to capitalize on "the notoriety surrounding Michael Jackson's unexpected death" and ensure that "profits for the Estate will be maximized."

According to Harris, several U.S. publishers were interested in the memoir but — assuming the price was right — both Harris and the lawyers who had handled Jackson's book wanted to stay with his original editor, Shaye Areheart. Her Harmony imprint at Random House will handle the release.

"She was professional with Michael and she was respectful," Harris, who declined to offer financial details for the new edition, said of Areheart. "She had worked for Jackie a long time and she was comfortable around celebrity."

I will be copping a reprinted copy to add to my collection the DAY of its release. (Actually, I wonder if Barnes & Noble is accepting reservations now? *ahem* Great birthday gift idea for I AM XI *ahem*) Since it was released when I was much younger and I wasn’t aware of any autobiography he had written at the time, I am extremely interested in getting insight of who MJ really was through his own words. And I would love to see this promotional spot as a tribute to MJ for his memoir re-release, since this was what he wanted originally.

Jacqueline Deval, then the book's publicist and now publisher of Hearst Books, said she had just one conversation with Jackson (about the book). She could not persuade him to give interviews, but he was very eager to discuss a possible promotional spot.

"He had this fabulous idea for a TV commercial for the book," she said. There would be music playing and a camera would show his feet, his steps moving to the beat. And then a major celebrity friend, such as Elizabeth Taylor, would say something about Michael Jackson. Then the camera would pan up to his knees, and there would be another celebrity talking about him. And so on, until we finally see his face. I think it would have been fabulous, but it was way beyond the budget of any book publisher."

Yeah, I can definitely picture that! And maybe the mystery celeb writing the current introduction will be featured in this spot as well! Got my fingers crossed… Here's ALSO hoping they will put my all-time fav Moonwalker on DVD and re-release it! (Do you know how difficult it is to transfer an old beat-up VHS to DVD? I'd rather buy a new one! And preserve my VHS in it's original box in my collection.)

Lastly, although the financial details have not been released, proceeds from the book will go to the Michael Jackson Family Trust, and to various charities supported by the singer. This is touching... I'm happy to see that the reprint of his memoir is not just for profit.

The Evolution of Perry

Sunday, July 26, 2009

Being the movie buff that I am, I was web surfing for new movie trailers and I stumbled across the latest one from African-American uber producer, Tyler Perry. The film adaptation of I Can Do Bad All By Myself debuts this fall and, based on the preview, seems to represent Perry's move toward more serious fare. While it still features the matriarch icon Madea, Bad focuses on the story of a young woman who has loses her will to love and, in turn, poisons those around her to do the same. It's the same story we've seen in the film (and stage) versions Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Madea's Family Reunion, and Meet The Browns. Despite that, it seems like Perry is embracing a more mainstream approach to his films now....he seems duly ready to officially crossover into popular culture, meaning the multiplexes will now look even more diverse when the new film hits.

Tyler Perry has been revered as the leader of the pack in African American entertainment. He has forgone the serious, hard-hitting conceptual movies a la Spike Lee and John Singleton and instead embraced family fare, riddled with drama and interlaced with comedy. He's been criticized for setting black cinema back decades....with many saying his films (and his signature role, Madea) are a throwback to the "chuckin and jivin" era of blaxploitation films. However, everyone must note that Perry has slowly but surely established himself as a major force in the motion picture business. While he is not necessarily reserving his invitation to the splashy Academy Awards, he is wowing pundits when his movies regularly open at number one, each one breaking its predecessors astonishing opening weekend numbers. He is commanding major talent from all genres, from Academy Award winners like Kathy Bates (The Family That Preys) and Louis Gossett, Jr. (Daddy's Little Girls) to fresh, new faces like Taraji P. Henson (Family That Preys, Bad) and Idris Elba (Girls). He's giving screentime to seasoned vets like Cicely Tyson and Alfre Woodard while also drawing in the likes of music senstaions like Mary J. Blige, Gladys Knight (both co-star in Bad), Jill Scott and Janet Jackson (both in Why Did I Get Married?). His films are starting to seem a tad bit more heavyweight, still focusing on relationships and family but now interspersing them with drug abuse, alcoholism, prejudice and financial woes. He is a writer, director and executive producer and everyone has to admit he is his own best collaborator.

I'm sure that I Can Do Bad All By Myself will get the biggest promotional push thus far of any of his films and rightfully so. It's Blige's first movie role in ages and Henson is currently on the A-list, thanks to her Academy-Award nominated turn in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Coming soon from the extraordinnaire: a sequel to Why Did I Get Married (my favorite of his films) and Madea's Class Reunion. My one gripe is that I'm a bit exhausted from the women done wrong stories....a refreshing love story without all the angst, baby mama drama and scars should definitely be in the cards soon. And the fact that top talent like Angela Bassett are actually hunting HIM down for roles could actually lead to such a great story.

Combined with his ratings-rich television hits House of Payne and Meet The Browns, Perry has gradually risen to the top of his class. Did anyone even notice Spike Lee's film last year, the quite good Miracle at St. Anna? Not really....but the theaters were packed for Madea Goes To Jail. He's in a class of his own and surely enjoying the ride. My hope is that his films continue to evolve into thought-provoking, entertaining works of art that will allow us as a people to unashamedly say that our stories have a place on the big screen as well. And maybe, just maybe, he'll be at the Oscars....as a nominee.

Chris Brown Faces The Music....

Saturday, July 25, 2009
This time last year, pop sensation Chris Brown was on top of the world. His sophomore album Exclusive was still garnering airplay on every single radio station, he was readying his third album and he was embroiled in a mouth-watering, tongue-wagging relationship with fellow pop superstar Rihanna. He was every young girl's fantasy and the envy of every young man around. Combining slick dance moves, a high-pitched voice and a fashion-forward wardrobe, he was the new successor to the throne left vacant by once teen king Usher.

Then came the Grammys 2009. Rumors surfaced that him and Rihanna had been involved in an accident hours prior to the big ceremony, where both ingenues were slated to perform. The red carpet was abuzz with gossip as to what truly transpired and just hours later, the ugly truth surfaced....Rihanna had apparently been assaulted...by Chris Brown. Mouths dropped, eyes rolled and almost everyone took notice. Domestic violence is not just a music issue - it's an INTERNATIONAL issue. As questions swirled everywhere and anywhere, the public waited for official statements...but NO ONE was prepared for the pictures distributed by TMZ that showed Rihanna looking like she had been mauled for a horrible assailant. Not Chris! It couldn't be! The guy who seemed like the perfect gentleman - respectful, soft spoken and successful. Not Chris! The guy who every girl wanted to be with. Not Chris! The guy who didn't even kiss a girl in his first couple of videos because his mother wouldn't allow it. Indeed it was Chris, and everyone from your mother to Oprah chimed on what had to be done. The music world now seemed divided into pro-Chris and pro-Rihanna sections. Rihanna retreated to Barbados to avoid the paparazzi (come on...they're everywhere RiRi!) and Chris retreated to his home in Virginia. As more and more details were leaked, the situation continued to make Chris look like a monster with an incontrollable temper. He was now a villain in the entertainment business, cast with the likes of OJ Simpson and Ike Turner. As the court case date neared, everyone wondered if Rihanna would stick with Chris.

Hence the entertainment spin started. How could these two budding icons emerge from this mess unscathed? How could they both return to their multi-platinum careers without the issue of violence hanging over their heads? Rihanna has slowly come back to the world. Appearing in Kanye West's video for "Paranoid" was definitely a good look and she is once again popping up at the major glitzy events where fashion designers are awestruck by our awesome body and ever changing hair styles (now she's rocking a traditional mohawk...hmmm).

As for Chris? Well beside his YouTube post with Bow Wow, he's been silent...until now. He's released a new video where he officially apologizes to Rihanna and all the people he let down. The video has been scrutinized, dissected and criticized since it was released...is he genuine? Is he doing this to win female fans back? Is his career really over? Will he do it again? The answer to all of these questions is quite simple: "We don't know."

While I am not one to condone violence against anyone (and I will not get into my beliefs on the whole situation), I have been thinking of ways that Chris could jumpstart his career again. We, as a people, need to stop acting like we haven't embraced celebrities who have made questionable decisions before. Heck, who made Monica Lewinsky's book a best-seller? Who forgave Whitney Houston for her drug-addled years? Who made Elizabeth Taylor an icon, despite her very obvious plays for married men? We, the public, did! So what makes Chris any different? I don't model myself after any entertainers...I enjoy their craft and I admit I am a Chris Brown fan...I have all of his albums and the stuff is good. Yes, he's young...and he made a mistake. But it's not THE biggest mistake. And it is so ironic that his situation is being juxtaposed with Michael Jackson's legacy battle...the King of Pop was ACCUSED of several indiscretions but guess what? We still appreciated his music. Forget his personal life? The man made us JAM!

If I were Chris Brown's people, here's what I would do....
*sit down with Oprah or Barbra Walters - getting grilled by a respected newswoman will definitely allow us to really see how he feels about the whole thing
*come back slow - maybe feature on someone else's record...his stint on David Banner's "Stuntin Is A Habit" thrilled everyone...a similar move could definitely help
*after the interview, let this mess go. Don't discuss it. It's over. Judgements have been made. You were wrong. Move on.

Some people may say become the spokesman for domestic abuse...uhhh...that might be a tad bit too much. He doesn't want to be labelled the "Rihanna beater" for the rest of his life.

I say give the guy a chance! I may be in the minority...which I doubt because I've spoken to a TON of people who are not necessarily 100% siding with Rihanna, but I still think his best years are ahead of him. He may never reach MJ status (and the guy was definitely mapping out a career to be our next big King of Pop) but he can definitely continue to battle the likes of Usher, Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and all of the other R&B/pop princes.

Pastor Kerney Thomas...Seriously WHHHHHHHHHHHHHY?!

Friday, July 24, 2009

I'm bizack! For those who missed IamXI, I apologize for being away for so long and neglecting you. But, I'd like to personally thank XIKhai for holding it down and updating the site with such intriguing articles daily as well as all our contributors who posted in my absence. I truly love my XI family!

With that being said, I want to hit you all with something this Friday morning that is so hilariously funny that I HAD to share! This definitely brought a smile, grin, chuckle, giggle, and belly-aching laugh to my face...

Last night, after an intense aquatics workout class and dinner with my Mom, I came home to relax and wind down. Of course that included some television and falling fast asleep on my couch. Well, I was awaken this AM by Pastor Kerney Thomas. Oh, and if you haven't heard of him then this post is for you, and as you continue reading you'll know why I was awaken out of my slumber.

I first heard of Pastor Kerney on the Rickey Smiley show one morning a few months ago as I drove into work. Smiley was saying the same thing pretty much that I mentioned in the previous paragraph (TV on, waking up in the middle of the night, flipping channels or something to that effect). Unfortunately, I wasn't in the car long enough to hear the actual audio of Pastor Kerney, so I really didn't have ANY clue as to why Smiley was cutting up on this man so tough. But oh, now I know!

Just some insight into who Pastor Kerney is... His website bio states, Pastor Kerney Thomas was his parents' "second born child and while they were using birth control, determined not to have any more children at that time, God had a greater purpose." Pastor Kerney has ministered full time since 1981 all over the world and is currently serving as Senior Pastor of the ABUNDANT LIFE INTERNATIONAL CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST. He has traveled, preached, and conducted Miracle Crusades throughout the US...

Alright that's enough of the BS, this is my account of what I know of Pastor Kerney... Apparently, Pastor Kerney is a full fledged TV evangelist. And I mean, he is typical of EVERY stereotype that you've ever seen and heard of when it comes to black pastors (Tyler Perry's 'Mr. Brown' and Coming To America's 'Reverend Brown' comes to mind). He screams and yells, prays and shouts, shucks and jives all for the 'Lawd' while hawking free "personal prayer packages" and a "Red Blood of Jesus Prayer Hankerchief." Yep! A plain ole red piece of cloth dubbed the "Prayer Hanky" will bring miracles to you in your life. Although his "products" are free by way of the Miracle Prayer Line, don't fret, you can also donate or "sow a seed by check or credit card" because "this is not a debt you owe but a seed you sow and when you sow it God will grow it!" And even though Pastor Kerney can barely speak proper English himself, he speaks in tongues too... Or rather, he recites MJ's infamous "mamasay mamasa mumakusa," but that is NO comparison to the foolishness of Pastor Kerney's "GAAAAAAAAAAAWD." Yes, he literally screams this out whenever he says "God." Needless to say, you know how I woke up at 4 o'clock this morning to compose this post.

Now, IamXI is not trying to offend anyone or have you thinking that I don't believe in a higher power or that I'm poking and making fun of religion, faith and whatnot. But, THIS is some foolywangness if I've ever seen it...you have to admit it...Check out this 'Best Of' for yourself:

Oh and BTW, I found this priceless gem on the only place where you can see Pastor Kerney Thomas daily, 4-5am Eastern Time... None other than, good ole Black Entertainment Television. Yup! B.E.T...

Pastor Kerney Thomas...Seriously WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHY?! The devil's a lie!

For those of you who are interested in more information on Pastor Kerney Thomas for whatever reason, you can visit his website: www.kerneythomas.org (And yes, that is Furonda from America's Next Top Model in the picture for "Prayer Request" on the homepage. Mmm, I guess her modeling career hasn't gone very far.)

MICHAEL JACKSON UPDATES: Omer Bhatti, Dr. Conrad & More...

Thursday, July 23, 2009

So according to MSN, Huffington Post and other news organization. Here's Huff Po's story on it:

UPDATE BELOW: Jermaine Jackson speaks out about welcoming Omer into the family.

There is a lot of speculation surrounding the young man in dark shades sitting with the Jackson family at Michael Jackson's memorial service. Omer Bhattiv sat between Rebbie Jackson, the eldest Jackson sibling, and Prince Michael II. He's 25, a Norwegian rapper and rumored to be Michael Jackson's secret son.

Michael reportedly told close friends several years ago that Omer was the result of a one-night stand he had with a Norwegian fan, Pia Bhatti, in 1984.

"He was the King of Pop," Pia told The Sun after the singer's death. "But for us he was so much more."

Her Pakistani husband Riz said, "Make what you like. I don't want to discuss anything."

Omer met Michael in 1996 during the HIStory tour, when he impressed the King of Pop with his dance moves. He later spent some time at Neverland, performed with Michael and took his MJ tribute act around the world.

UPDATE: Jermaine Jackson tells the Daily Mail that if a DNA test proves Omer is Michael's son, the Jackson family will welcome him in.

'If Omer's his son, he's his son,' Jermaine declared yesterday. 'We won't deny it. We are going to give him the same love and care that we give Prince and Paris and Blanket. I can't clearly say if he is Michael's but I saw this kid around him

Side eying the tangalicousness of Mr. Bhatti...I mean he DOES kinda look like Michael but that's not the real Michael that's the plastic surgery one so I can't really tell. What do you think?

The Houston office of Dr. Conrad Murray was raided last night by DEA agents. I fear for this mans life if he's charged with manslaughter. Seriously dude run and hide!

Katherine Jackson apparently wants a say in guiding Jackson's estate. Which should really get interesting for her.

And to set the record straight on all of the RUMORS about autopsy reports on MJ. As of right now only the "preliminary report" is out...the official autopsy result could take another two more weeks before they're released.

PRESIDENT OBAMA'S NAACP Speech (VIDEO): "Your Destiny Is In Your Hands...No Excuses"

Friday, July 17, 2009
From Huffington Post:

NEW YORK - President Barack Obama on Thursday traced his historic rise to power to the vigor and valor of black civil rights leaders, telling the NAACP that the sacrifice of others "began the journey that has led me here." The nation's first black president bluntly warned, though, that racial barriers persist.

"Make no mistake: The pain of discrimination is still felt in America," the president said in honoring the organization's 100th convention.

White House aides said the President had been working on the speech for two weeks. Obama urged African-Americans to be realistic about some of the difficulties they may face, but to remember that "your destiny is in your hands."

"We've got to say to our children, Yes, if you're African American, the odds of growing up amid crime and gangs are higher. Yes, if you live in a poor neighborhood, you will face challenges that someone in a wealthy suburb does not have to face. That's not a reason to get bad grades, that's not a reason to cut class, that's not a reason to give up on your education and drop out of school," he said. "No one has written your destiny for you. Your destiny is in your hands - and don't you forget that."

"No excuses. No excuses," Obama added, verging off his prepared remarks. "You get that education. All those hardships will just make you stronger, better able to compete. Yes, we can"

Watch the complete speech:

Painting himself as the beneficiary of the NAACP's work, Obama cited historical figures from W.E.B. DuBois to Thurgood Marshall to explain how the path to the presidency was cleared by visionaries.

Obama's remarks, steeped in his personal biography as the son of a white mother from Kansas and black father from Kenya, challenged the audience -- those in the room and those beyond -- to take greater responsibility for their own future. He told parents to take a more active role and residents to pay better attention to their schools.

Rousing up a friendly crowd, Obama made his first speech so directly linked with race since he took office; the White House says he worked on it for about two weeks. Implicit in his appearance: He is seeking the backing of the powerful NAACP and its members for his ambitious domestic agenda.

The president said that in the current down economy, blacks are suffering high unemployment and are afflicted with more diseases but are less likely to own health insurance. He said that the African-American child is about five times as likely as a white child to be sent to jail.

Obama touted education as essential to improving the lives of all children. He said the state of schools is an American problem, not an African-American one.

"You know what I'm talking about. There's a reason the story of the civil rights movement was written in our schools. There's a reason Thurgood Marshall took up the cause of Linda Brown. There's a reason the Little Rock Nine defied a governor and a mob," Obama said. "It's because there is no stronger weapon against inequality and no better path to opportunity than an education that can unlock a child's God-given potential."

"We have to say to our children, `Yes, if you're African-American, the odds of growing up amid crime and gangs are higher. Yes, if you live in a poor neighborhood, you will face challenges that someone in a wealthy suburb does not,'" Obama said, returning to his tough-love message familiar from his two-year presidential campaign.

"But that's not a reason to get bad grades, that's not a reason to cut class, that's not a reason to give up on your education and drop out of school," he said. "No one has written your destiny for you. Your destiny is in your hands and don't you forget that."

Obama expanded his message of equal rights beyond the black communities. He said many Americans still face discrimination.

Racism, he said, is felt "by African-American women paid less for doing the same work as colleagues of a different color and gender. By Latinos made to feel unwelcome in their own country. By Muslim Americans viewed with suspicion for simply kneeling down to pray. By our gay brothers and sisters, still taunted, still attacked, still denied their rights."

Obama also pressed for NAACP members to encourage their young people to find new role models beyond sports or music.

"I want them aspiring to be scientists and engineers, doctors and teachers, not just ballers and rappers," Obama said. "I want them aspiring to be a Supreme Court justice. I want them aspiring to be president of the United States."

To bolster his argument that it's within their reach, he cited his own biography, growing up with a single mother.

"I don't come from a lot of wealth. I got into my share of trouble as a kid. My life could easily have taken a turn for the worse. But that mother of mine gave me love; she pushed me, and cared about my education; she took no lip and taught me right from wrong," Obama said. "Because of her, I had a chance to make the most of my abilities. I had the chance to make the most of my opportunities. I had the chance to make the most of life."

Macchiato's & Morning Papers

TGIF ladies and gentlemen! So much news so little time to get it all in but I'll try!

As I watched this live yesterday on MSNBC the strangest thing happened to me. I wasn't angry or upset I was just really sad for Pat Buchanan and his sad view of the world. Kudos to Rachel for keeping her cool and not getting into a screaming match with him either. As I said last night on my Twitter page..."RM is such an intellectual class act."

My favorite part of this wondrous dialogue came after Maddow asked Buchanan why he thought that 108 of the 110 Supreme Court Justices had been white. He replied:
"White men were 100% of the people that wrote the Constitution, 100% of the people that signed the Declaration of Independence, 100% of the people who died at Gettysburg and Vicksburg, probably close to 100% of the people who died at Normandy. This has been a country built basically by white folks, who were 90% of the nation in 1960 when I was growing up and the other 10% were African-Americans who had been discriminated against. That's why.
I seriously don't know many people who don't watch the Daily Show...but if you're one of those people...you are really missing out on classic comedy and genuine news coverage. Jon Stewart went IN on Senator Lindsay Graham last night for his behavior during this weeks confirmation hearings.

Graham asked Sotomayor to answer for anonymous accusations by lawyers who had appeared before her, claiming she was temperamental and angry. In response, Stewart read anonymous comments about Lindsey Graham from the Internet that included people calling the senator the "ass of the year," a "sad sack of shit," and a "racist idiot douchebag." Jon also pointed out that Lindsey is featured on the site men who look like old lesbians. "Well, Senator Graham, someone apparently believes you look like an old lesbian. Do you??? And may I remind you you're under oath," he shouted in an odd accent.

Michael Jackson music leak...this the first of MANY I'm sure!

Speaking of MJ's music his album sales have topped 9 million since his death with an insane 5 albums listed in the Top 10.

Gay Porn star TWINS charged with using chainsaw and ax to break into stores. *Blank stare*

Keeping with the "sex trend" Jada Pinkett Smith talks limo sex and adding to your sexcapades. And I'm officially JEALOUS. I love her and Will!

Why do men always go for these chicks. Jon Gosselin's new GF is "surprise surprise" party animal trying to get famous. Truly shocking information here.

This Bruno movie I've heard is seriously disgusting I've heard and read on twitter from the people who've wasted their money to see it. Kevin Hart said he walked out of it. Barbara Walters called it pornography, April Rommett is STILL mad about the "donk" scenes...I mean it's terrible. So much so that the Ukraine has decided to ban it from being shown there.

Brandy settles lawsuit with survivor of fatal car crash. Good for her...sad situation though.

Debbie Rowe says "Hell No!" when discussing whether or not she wants custody of Jackson's kids.

The controversy of President Obama's birth certificate conspiracy was aided by none other than Fixed Noise (Fox News) Which I'm sure everyone reading this is SHOCKED to learn.

Megahan McCain has just gotten herself removed from her father's will with these statements.
"Joe the Plumber is a Dumb A$$...you can quotes me on that"
Hmmmm...a CBS news report is stating that legal weed would bring in 1.4 billion for California. So could we just get on with this revenue building and stop with all of this but it's a drug BS! Seriously!

INTERCEPTED: ESPY AWARDS 2009 RECAP

Thursday, July 16, 2009

From the Los Angeles Times:

The show, which will be broadcast Sunday July 19th by ESPN, is wildly popular among athletes and actors. This year Michael Phelps steals the show and the Lakers also get their due.

It's a good thing athletes don't rely on a teleprompter and a good thing the ESPY awards broadcast scheduled for Sunday on ESPN was recorded Wednesday night at the Nokia Theatre LA Live. It will provide an opportunity for some cleanup.

As host Samuel L. Jackson said after he stood dumbstruck for a moment on stage, "I wish I had learned the monologue. Then I wouldn't have to stand here waiting on the monitor. Play some more music. Please."

Eventually the teleprompter lit up and the ESPY awards show was able to go on. Lakers fans will want to tune in to the 6 p.m. telecast Sunday because a certain NBA team that wears purple and gold won the best team trophy. And Michael Phelps fans will want to tune in because the Olympic swimmer seemed to win just about everything else.

Fans vote for the awards and 13 were handed out. Phelps, who won best male athlete, also won four others.
