XI Chat: Male Accessories

Tuesday, August 4, 2009
XI is an interactive site. We rant and go off on tangents but it's all about creating a dialog with our readers. With that said, I've been pondering a question and would love to hear your opinion. Let the dialog begin!

Question: How do you feel about men wearing accessories?

Now I'm not talking about gloves, hats, scarfs or bling bling neckwear. I'm talking about cuff bracelets, bangles, beaded wrist and neck ware, brooches, non-metal rings, and man bags or what I lovely refer to as a "murse". Let me clarify. A murse is not a gym, messenger, or laptop bag. It's a purse. It can come in a variety of shapes, sizes and brands but at the end of the day it's a male purse.

So what's your thoughts? Do you like male accessories or do you think they are a tad feminine? Don't be shy. Voice your opinion!

Girl, I don't know about a man acessorizing, especially with ALL of that on!

I saw a man the other day w/ a beaded necklace on, and my girl said she owned a similar necklace and wanted to ask him where he got his. LOL! But, it didn't help that I was at a happy hour meet-and-great/surprise b-day party for a city council candidate who just so happens to be gay. So, all his "boys" were there. LOL!

Nah, I'm good on the accessorizing for men outside of what's normal (items you listed in the post).

The only item that I can co-sign on that might seem a bit weird is that I wear leather rock star type armbands w/spikes and ish every now and then...but the other ish like man-purses and brooches are S U S P E C T.
