Musing over Macchiato's & AFTERNOON Papers

Friday, June 12, 2009

Late night over here folks...with the Lakers OT win and the live blogging. I am XI and I were up until 1:00 a.m. So today's muse has been pushed to early afternoon.

I'm sure you all have heard the questionable jokes David Letterman made about Sarah Palin's daughter during their visit to Yankee Stadium this week.
And while the jokes were indeed in poor taste on Letterman's behalf...leave it to the Republicans to turn this into a political spin for their benefit. Palin's response here

So of course in true Giggle-time Almo fashion RNC Chairman Michael Steele has decided to use this as opportunity to showcase his ineptness by weighing and..."what did you say Michael...we should stage a boycott of the Letterman show...you think" Great idea!

And as if we could not have called this one ourselves...conservatives are of course doing their best to tie this ENTIRE "attack on main stream America" to the Obama Administration. Who writes, produces & shoots the Letterman show in case you were wondering. SMDH Seriously folks this blame Obama for everything bit is getting real old really fast.

Moving on...

If this isn't the closest thing to Final Destination I don't know what is. Truly shocking and really eery.

Not to be outdone by the other old man who decided to shoot up the Holocaust Museum...the "Reverend" Jeremiah Wright is back with some good ole fashion racism. Open mouth insert foot sir. Clearly he has not learned anything from last years meltdown. Pray for the "Reverend"!

And in a very interesting spin...the recent rise in right-wing extremism is pushing the Department of Homeland Security to release a very important report linking the daily rantings of people like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh & Glen Beck to the sudden rise in hate crimes in America. It's about time someone paid attention to this very terrible epidemic in America!

That's all for now...

Musing over Macchiato's & Morning Papers

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

Today's muse comes from a two-part article I read online at Huffington Post written by Christine Hassler, former Hollywood agent turned life coach and spiritual counselor. She's the author of two books "Twenty Something Twenty Everything" & "Twenty-Something Manifesto: Quarter Lifers Speak out About Who They Are, What They Want, and How to Get It." Hassler has become a leader among women in their 20's and is a reassuring voice for other women, having left a very successful career as a Hollywood agent at the age of 25 to pursue a life she was passionate about. The series is entitled "The Rite of Passage for Today's Twenty Something Woman" and in it she takes us through the mind and decisions facing 20-something women in America.

Part Two can be read here. Make sure to check it out and come back to give us your feedback as well as your personal experiences. We'd love to hear them!

Remember today's all about inspiration and finding YOURS! So be inspired! Now back to my macchiato.
